Moto E 1st gen speakers have stopped working

Today while I was listening to music through my headphones on my moto E 1st gen and I pulled out my headphones out while music was playing and then I noticed that my phone speakers have stopped working. Anyone knows how to fix it?

It's possible the phone thinks the headphones are still plugged in. Try plugging them in then removing them again.
