Solved! Mouse pointer jumps around uncontrollably and remote tech support can’t fix.

I have a problem with the mouse pointer jumping all over uncontrollably. Lenovo tech support has wiped the hard drive and reinstalled to factory settings. The problem persists. Would replacing the hard drive fix the problem?

not if the problem is the touchpad. how old it that laptop? try using a external mouse?
