My acer Aspire E1-531 will not run off the battery.

My Acer Aspire E1-531 will not run off battery power. As soon as I unplug the power cord the computer goes off. I have replaced the battery and the power cord. No luck. Any suggestions of something more I can try?

Hi, you can try this test, remove the battery and the adapter, hold the power button for one minute, with just the adapter try to start the Acer.

You do this with a multimeter, if you don't have one, you can't read the tensions. You have a component on the motherboard that is defective, the only way is to take the voltages on the various components.

It's a good idea, I could tell you what to do, but if we find the defective component, it must be replaced.
