My Acer Aspire E1-531 will not run off battery power. As soon as I unplug the power cord the computer goes off. I have replaced the battery and the power cord. No luck. Any suggestions of something more I can try?
Another test involves opening the laptop and take readings.
How is that done?
You do this with a multimeter, if you don't have one, you can't read the tensions. You have a component on the motherboard that is defective, the only way is to take the voltages on the various components.

Thank you I will probably have to have a professional look at it.
