I have a 2010 acer notebook running windows 7, with an Intel Atom Processor N450, and when I booted it up yesterday and multiple keys(a,l,z,g,2) just simultaneously stopped working. What happened?
I found a few different avenues of approach for this but I'll suggest a system reset as a first step. You can do that by unplugging your AC power pack from the laptop, removing the battery and, with battery out and no external power into the machine, Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Replace battery, plug in and see if anything then.
I have an Acer timelineX that had similar problems. So I opened up its housing and a little piece had broken off creating a short in the keyword, shook the broken object out and it works fine. My laptop has an issue with slipping out of my hands and falling to the ground. GL
