My ASUS Notebook won't turn on and charge.

I've tried many method and bought a new DC jack for my laptop but nothing happened. LED are shown as charged but if I turn on it will shutdown after a few seconds. I wonder what is the problem. Is it a failure of motherboard? Asus A53T Notebook.

disconnect the power cord, remove laptop battery, hold power button down for 8 seconds, attach power cord & press power button.
