So I just bought a headset, using 2 3.5mm jacks, and I come to find out, I don't have 3.5mm ports on my PC. Can I buy an adapter like this:

The adapter should work. Out of curiosity, what pc did you get that doesn't have audio jacks?

He has an alienware i3 steambox.

that is the sound output on it Audio 7.1 optical audio out (Toslink) so no way to have headphones or you will need something like this https
