My fe210 camera won't connect to the computer. I went out and bought a new cable thinking that was it, but it still not conne

I have an fe210 Olympus digital camera. A month or so ago while my computer was being dominated by an anti-virus program, my camera quit connecting to my computer. I kicked out the anti-virus program and replaced it with a sensible one and bought a new cable to connect to the computer and it still won't connect.

When you connect the camera to the computer are you turning it on after plugging the cable into the computer? Does the camera show up under Device Manager? Are the pictures stored on the camera's internal memory or the xD card? If on the xD card, have you tried using a card reader to get the pictures?

Not sure this will help but look at page 41 of the user manual.
