My gallery on my android no longer displays my pics. The storage says theyre there. I go into my file manager/sd where i store

My gallery on my Android no longer displays my pics.they storage says they're there. My SD card will not Display them either. I trued to download pics fr my Google photos but all I get is " can't open file" SD storage also says they're there. But all I get is a black screen with some emblem on it. Plz help...

I can no longer see pics from my gallery. When I go to my SD Storage it says they are there but all I get is a black screen with an emblem on it. I tried downloading from my Google photos buy it says ' "can't open file" plz help. I had no problem and then one day " poof " they're gone
