Hi, this morning i was using my laptop with no problem. Then i closed my laptop screen and it went to sleep but when i opened it again by flipping the laptop open my keyboard stopped working.
I tried a few things to fix the problem but they didn't work.
I've tried:
- Taking the battery out for a few mins and putting it back in
- Uninstalling my keyboard from device manager and restarting
- Using windows Troubleshooting to troubleshoot Power and keyboard.
- Changing my power options to not turn off usb slots to save power
- Searched my computer for viruses
However some of my FN keys work, like change the screen brightness and turn on airplane mode but some FN keys like changing the volume and Home/End buttons don't.
Device manager says that my keyboard is working properly.

Other info:
- I recently installed a Graphic tablet
- Im using Windows 8
- Im using an MSI GP60 http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GP60.html#hero-overview and heres my keyboard http://www.msi.com/media/product/Y0JzOVlYSFk1YWdIbmhUSFNHblgrUT09/600.png
- Im using a usb keyboard to type this
- Heres a picture of my Device manager http://puu.sh/blETU/8b0e9ed01f.png

Thanks for reading and i hope you can help me :)

Solution
If the FN keys work, then likely it is not a physical connection issue. What happens if you try to reinstall the keyboard driver? If that doesn't change anything, what about uninstalling the graphics tablet driver?
