my laptop starts and stops

I hear the fan starts at my laptop and nothing on my LCD.It is acer one .There is ablue led light on.the laptop LCD is black.when i hit the power button the sound of the fan is on and nothing after like 5 seconds.No display at all.But the Blue light in the side is on .

I had an asus laptop doing this after 7 good years. I fear the laptop is dead. Mine was when it did that trick.
Does it turn off after the 5 seconds, or does it just not display anything? If it turns off -

Have you tried -
Plugging in and unplugging the powercable
Run the computer connected to power supply, without battery
Tried to pull out the battery and stick it in again

May sound stupid, but wait a minute or so, (you said it worked but without display, right?) Then press windows and p at the same time.
If it turned off after 5 seconds, its probably dead
