Need a good os for Pentium M Laptop

Not sure if this is on the right category but anyways here are the specs:

Pentium M 770 @ 2.13Ghz
1.5gb ram
intel 915 chipset and graphics

I have tried Lubuntu but the looks are not very appealing to me. Linux Mint seemed ok and i might go with it. Also when i put Lubuntu on it i tried to play Minecraft and at the lowest settings i got about 30-50 fps so its not madly slow..even then that was running live from an old usb stick.
what os do you think i should go with?
By the way i dont like puppy linux or anything that looks similar

Much kudos for keeping an older machine on the road, so to speak.

In my opinion, Mint is the best flavour or Linux for the job but not necessary Serena. Have a look here https/old-linux.com/ and pick a version contemporaneous with your laptop.

Another low level and familiar looking flavour is PCLinuxOS if that suggestion fails.

i do like linux mint 18 xfce. I might go with it. Also might dual boot Windows xp
