Need help buying antivirus

1) OK so I go to newegg and go to Software>Security>Best rated and all of them i see look like good options, but the problem is WHAT IS THE LICENCE??? Should I just assume their all prices for 1 year, unlimited? PLEASE tell me how I can figure out the licences on these av boxes. Thanks

2) PS what happens when the licence runs out just wondering no updated i think but tell me cuz idk.

For a home user it is sufficient to use avast free version http/www.avast.com/en-us/index
Or Microsoft security essentials http/www.microsoft.com/en-us/security_essentials/default.aspx
to name a couple

Personally I've been using Kaspersky for the last 8+ years. From memory it cost me $50 AUD for a 3 year 3 PC license.

Free antivirus are OK, but I wouldn't use one.

Been using MSE over 2yrs virus free.
I'm not a safe surfer btw.

GDATA Internet Security for 2 years now!It's a dual engine antivirus:Avast and Bitdefender!

Yep stick with my free solutions at home! Have not seen a virus since 2003 and that was with Norton install on my work computer.
