I really could use some help. I consider myself pretty damn tech savvy, but A/V receivers just seem to put me in my place. 🙁

Here is my issue:

I have a Yamaha RX-A1040 A/V receiver, a desktop PC with HDMI connection on the Mobo and HDMI connection on the GTX 770 in the PC, and an X-Star 27 inch 2560x1440p monitor with ONLY a single Dual Link DVI port.

How on Earth do I hook this up to where I can view the receiver's OSD on my monitor so I can finally set it up correctly?

Solution
He wants to see the receivers on screen display on a DVI only monitor, which probably isn't going to happen. I suppose try an HDMI to DVI cable but I doubt it would work
av recivers you can use the line out on your sound card if your just using sound. or if your mb or sound card has digital audio port you can use that port into most new receivers.
