My current screen has developed "dead" pixels (its a big large patch of dead pixels sitting right in the center of the screen). I would like to get a replacement screen, but i don't know where to start looking for it.
I found quite a limited options on eBay Global buy. I read somewhere that all the screens might not be supported with the laptop. Dell service option is out of question since they are charging quite a handsome amount ( more than double what the screen costs). After having a look at my invoice I found out that the entry "LCD,15.4WSXGA+,TLF,SMSNG,V2" is correctly reflecting my current screen. Apart from this there is one more option - "the backlighting" which is specified with the screens CCFL or LED.
I need help in deciding which screen do I buy? How to find the exact replacement to ensure maximum compatibility? Any help with this issue is highly appreciated! thanks in advance.
