I recently purchased a Lenovo IdeaPad Y580. Here are the specs:

5400 rpm is kind of slow and I am worried about heat build-up. I've did some research and some people suggest installing a mSata and just boot OS on it. The laptop comes preload with Win8, so how exactly do I move the OS and other programs from the HDD to the mSata? I have a copy of Win7, can't I just install that onto the mSata and dual boot both OS? I don't really know what I am doing so if anyone can help me that'll be great. Or feel free to suggest other methods.
*Note the Y580 has a mSata slot.

Buy a msata ssd from transcend website directly ..... if the laptop is in warenty period .....Goto lenovo custamer care give ssd and laptop.they will install genius win8 in ssd.

hmm...would customer service actually perform this service for me free of charge? Please note that I actually haven't receive my laptop yet.
