Need Laptop for College

Hello! I am looking for a laptop with good specs for the price, so not a surface or mac, and preferably something under 4 pounds. My mom has an Asus Q325U and I was generally impressed with it. I love the size and portability of it. The only thing I'd like to add, if it's even realistic, is some gaming abilities. It doesn't need to be anything special, as I have a desktop with a gtx 1080, it just needs to be something to play some games on the go. Possibly even a 1050. I'd also bee fine with something like Razer or Alienware where they have the external graphics hookup, but razer is a little pricey and alienware is really bulky. If you can't find anything light and gaming ready, please still suggest your top picks for non-gaming laptops. Thanks for the help!

What's your budget? You can get a decent ultrabook with dedicated graphics and 8th gen intel cpu for a good price right now. You won't need a 1050 on the go if have a desktop with 1080. Unless of course you want to play those AAA games at higher settings on the go. I'd suggest looking at the MX150 or 940mx graphics cards as they will be able to handle casual gaming, but at a reduced cost and typically come in a smaller form factor.

Lenovo ideapad 720s i7-8550u, mx150 gpu
Acer swift 3 i5-8250u, mx150 gpu
Gigabyte Aero 14 i7-7700hq, gtx 1050ti/1060

Those ones off the top of my head might match your requirements. The ideapad is the smallest form factor with a 12.5" chassis and 0.62" thick and around $900 usd. The XPS will probably be a bit more expensive, but again has a really nice metal design with thin bezels (like the ideapad) reducing chassis size. The swift 3 is the cheapest I've seen on sale for $680 usd, with nice metal design if you want to save a few bucks and it fits your needs then this is a good option. The Aero 14 is a little overkill I think but if you're wanting a lot of power this may be suitable
