Need to hook up tv, TiVo cable box, DVD player, bluray player with surround sound system

Need assistance hooking up surround sound system and tv/tivo/dvd/blu Ray.

Without makes and model numbers we can't give you an exact answer.
1. Connect all your sources to the TV with HDMI. Connect the surround sound system to the TV with HDMI ARC or optical audio output. Follow the TV manual for getting optical or ARC to work.
2. Connect all you sources to the surround sound with HDMI. Connect the surround sound HDMI output to HDMI ARC input on the TV. If you don't have ARC in both surround sound and TV you will also need an audio output from the TV to the surround sound to get audio from the TV tuner and smart functions into the surround sound.
