Netbook not powering up

Hello,

I followed a tutorial to installing a 2gb memory in my acer aspire d260a. Looks like I didnt follow it 100% because my netbook is not powering up properly. When I press the power button it soundz like its switched on at first but the screen stays black. The fan eventually gets quieter after about 10 seconds and blows pretty quietly. The power stays on but nothing really happens. Only had it for a month so am pretty dissapointed im going to have to pay money get it repaired. Any ideas on this issue please???

If there are now two memory modules remove one and see if that fixes it, if not replace first and remove second module.


If in fact you just swapped out the module that came with the netbook, put the original back in.

That should help you pin down the issue.
