New Asus ROG G501V stuck on "Just a moment..."

Hi there,

I recently bought a new laptop, the Asus ROG G501V with pre-installed windows 10. So I turned it on and did some windows 10 setup. Things like country, timezone, etc and then a network password. Although I am not sure if I typed the password right.

So after that he started to setup windows 10 I guess, but now it stays on "Just a moment..." forever. I let it be like this for at least 3 hours yesterday. So then I read on the internet that it has to be connected to a network cable or wifi to eventually update windows or something.

So today, I plugged in an ethernet cable and started it up again. But it's already been 3 hours and it's still stuck on the "Just a moment...".

How can I fix this. How long should this screen maximum take?

try the "Use a recovery drive to restore or reset your PC"

might need to read the manual or go to asus support to see how to start it on your laptop

So if I get this right, I can reinstall windows 10 on an existing windows 10 that is already on the laptop and I don't need an additional key or something?

correct, you want to do factory reset. and hopefully that would fix the issue.

Thanks for your help, but it doesn't work or fix the issue.

I just called the company and they will give me a refund.
