New laptop, major youtube lag

Hi all, I recently purchased an HP 200-2b43dx notbook, and the specs are as follows:

4 gb ram
processor: amd e-300 apu w/radeon hd graphics 1.0 ghz
64 bit os
273 gb harddrive

The problem I'm experiencing is very bad video lag. I haven't tried anything other than youtube videos, but they are very bad. Its not a connection issue. I'm running a 5 year macbook on the same one with lower specs and it plays the videos fine. generally the computer seems slower than I would have expected. I'm kind of new to windows, so any help would be very much appreciated.

The AMD E-300 is laughably weak. I would not be surprised in the slightest if it struggled with youtube videos. With that said, try installing the latest video drivers.

What browser? One with hardware acceleration would likely be faster, and enabling WebM/HTML5 on Youtube's site might help.
