Bought a msi GP60 2PF and i am having a few issues.

I am getting 100% cpu usage while playing a 4k video on youtube using google chrome and video stutters. I can play the 4k video just fine using IE 11 (cpu 50%), but i have noticed that on google chrome it is using HLML5 and flash on IE. I tried switching to html5 on ie but then there is no option for 4k only 720p. Is there a fix for this or is html5 just not table at the moment.

same thing while watching a live stream on twitch i get 100% cpu on google chrome and the same on firefox and in task manager there is a process called system that usues 30% cpu while watching the stream on firefox, also if i hover the mouse over the video it gets stuck until i stop moving the mouse.

In general the laptop runs slow especially when multitasking like installing a software/windows update and surfing web.

Is there any way to find out if its a faulty laptop or some software causing the problem.

Bought the laptop from ebay, seller hardwarestore2000.

This is strange, try temporarily disabling your antivirus to see if that solves the issue. If it doesn't try disabling hardware acceleration in chrome - that sometimes causes issues like this.

Just tried that sadly it made no difference. I did some benchmarks using 3Dmark and compared it with similar systems and i'm getting similar results, so i guess something went wrong when installing windows/ drivers, since the laptop came as Freedos.

Ok. Have you tried a clean boot? If not please try that now to see if any third party applications are causing the 30% system CPU usage.

Tried a clean boot. While playing a 1080p video the cpu usage is 20-30% and a 2160p video 80-90% cpu usage running chrome. With firefox 1080p 10-15% and 2160p 20-25% cpu usage, So its something to do with google chrome and HTML5 since chrome uses HTML5 to play videos and firefox is using flash.

Also that 30% usage by the system process (NT Kernal & system) while playing a video in firefox has stopped aswell in clean boot mode.

USAFRet - It's a new laptop

If new, look closely as to what runs on startup. I recently had to 'fix' a friends brand new Toshiba. Basically unusable out of the box. HDD was at 100% for at least an hour after power on. So much startup crap...

This is the problem i got right now, i am watching a live stream on twitch and the cpu usage is 80-90% and in task manager - System (NT Kernal & system) is using 30% Flashplayerplugin 20% and firefox 15%. The System process only uses cpu when i'm actually watching the video if its minimized its drops to 0%. Is there any way to fix this?
