Nexus Mod Manager Help

Ive installed NMM but it wont actually download anything from nexus. Im trying to download mods of skyrim but it does not automatically open when i click to download with NMM. Ive tried running with administrator before hand and having the manager open before downloading but it makes no difference. Ive moved it from program files to downloads but still nothing the from downloads to my empty music folder but still nothing. How can i fix this?

I advise you to either use Steam Workshop or to download the mods manually. I myself stopped using NMM since it was having problems just like this.
