So I purchased a new Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P Motherboard, installed the latest driver from their website and both the green and pink 3.5 mm jacks dont work, I have tried the front and back panel. I have tried another headset, I have also tried installing some of the previous drivers. Nothing. The only workaround I found was using a USB adapter, but I don't want to settle on that, I want to find the root of the problem and fix it.

which version of the board?

there is a "rev. 2.x" that claims it has fixed hardware audio problems. if you have an earlier iteration, you probably are stuck with the original audio problems that have been fixed/upgraded.

It's rev 2.1
