No sound from headphones

Speakers work but headphones don't. I got anew computer a few days ago and everything worked fine. Today when I wanted to listen to music, no sound came out of my headphones. The computer recognized them as a jackstick, but when I went through the control panel to see if I could set them as default, it only said speakers. What do I do? I don't understand, this computer is brand new and everything worked yesterday... I haven't updated anything, so I'm really confused.

Have you tried the headphones on another device?

They work fine when I listen to music on my iPhone and on my old computer.
I'm not sure how to update the driver, but I think I tried that. I googled how to solve the problem and some suggested that, so I went to search for updates but nothing happened. There was no available updates, so I'm gussing that's not the problem...
