Old coax with a signal amplifier

Hello,
I am buying a house that has old antenna coax throughout the house and there is a signal booster in a closet upstairs. There are jacks in every room. Can this be used for cable tv today?

The signal booster and any splitters would have to be replaced for sure. The coax wire may also need to be replaced. If it is RG6 then it will work. RG59 might not. If you want to give it a try start with the furthest run and work your way closer.
