If these are "Text Messages" you are referring to, through the phones general texts. There is no way to get them back. The best you can do is ask the professor to resend the information to you.

If it was messages through an app (other than the standard text messaging one) you would have to check on the apps info to see if there is a way to retrieve deleted messages or not.
