I HAVE AN OLDER MODEL ONKEYO DVD RECIEVER ,I JUST BOUGHT A NEWER MODEL BLUERAY PLAYER ,ARTHEY COMPATIBLE?E

Not knowing what connections you have on the Onkyo (probably not HDMI) I would say connect the Bluray player to your TV with HDMI and connect the digital audio output to the Onkyo. If you don't have digital then you can use the L/R analog RCA outputs.
