Hey all,

I have a hard drive that crashed and will no longer boot. However, i am able to access the drive as a second drive attached to a new drive with a fresh windows install.

Anyone know how I can get all of my old bookmarks from OPERA off the old drive.

Any help would be appreciated.

Erik

Solution
Paste this into your address bar and press enter:

opera:config#UserPrefs|HotListFileVer2

Make sure it's pointing to the correct location.

That's all I'm got I'm afraid; hope it helps.

D:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Opera\Opera\bookmarks.adr

Path may vary depending on your drive's letter, your operating system (I'm on XP), and where you had Opera installed.

Hey Pherule,

thanks for the reply. should have mentioned I was using Vista. so i looked for the path, and of course its a little different in Vista, found the file, imported it, however it is just some standard links i.e. Hotels.com, Groupon.com etc. not my personal bookmarks.

So i went a little further and did a search of the drive for all .adr extensions. came back with 45 results. imported a good portion of them, but they all seem to be standard site that would be imported with a new install.

Got any other ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Erik
