Packard bell recovery dvd

Hello,

I am trying to make a recovery disk but it gets right to the end of the process and says
"DVD not created Properly , please insert another dvd and try again" have done this but the same thing happens. Any help much appreciated

What kind of DVDs are you using? DVD-R or DVD+RW?

You could also try booting into Safe Mode and do the Recovery Disk creation there.
Safe Mode limits the startup to just basic Windows stuff and that might help.
As you power on, keep tapping the F8 key till you see the Advanced Options menu.

I think I am using the wrong DVD
I will go and ourchase some DVD-R or DVD+R

and will let you know how i get on

Hi tried a DVD-R but the same thing happened, went all the way to the end and then said " recovery disk not created ?

Google doesn't have much on 'recovery disk not created' errors.
A few things you could try:
Make the Recovery Discs in while in Safe Mode. Tap F8 key while booting.
Make the Recovery Image go to a hard disk drive
Make the Recovery Image go to a USB thumb drive
Try using CD-R (instead of DVD-R) discs
