PC Headset on consoles with USB -> 3.5 Adapter

Hey, I found a USB to 3.5 adapter from Ebay. I'm wondering if I could use PC headsets that has two 3.5 jacks for audio and mic, on consoles with this thing.

Would this work for all PC headsets?
Would this thing work for PS3, PS4 and laptop? (I only have one 3.5 slot in my laptop so I would have to use it)
