So I'm trying to get video output from my PC to my SDTV. My video card has ports for VGA, DVI, and HDMI, and the tv is an SDTV, so it's got s-video and component. What are my options? From what I gather, I won't be able to use the HDMI port on my card without a lot of effort. I've seen some dvi and vga to s-video adapters, but according to the amazon reviews they don't work when connecting a PC to a tv. Any recommendations?

Solution
Unless your card came with a TV out adapter or there is no mention of tv out in the manual, it will not work on your tv unless you go dvi to hdmi or hdmi to hdmi. ATI cards are much easier to send to a tv, as many adapters have been created to work with them specifically.
Need some more information....

What is the make/model of your video card?

Is the component input on your TV available or are you looking for S-video only?
