Photos will not save to camera SD card

I have a new Nikon L31. Have only used it twice, but after downloading my first batch if photos to my laptop, the camera will not save photos to the SD card anymore. It will save then to it own limited memory. I have formatted the SD card, checked the lock protection is off on the card, but still no luck. Any ideas?

Do you know how to check if write protection is enabled on the card?

Also, have you formatted the card inside the camera or on the computer. If you formatted on the computer, what file system did you format as?

Try a different CD card, and format it in the camera.
