Pioneer Samsung ARC reverts to TV - any workarounds known yet?

Hi.

I can see many threads on my issue - how switching on a Samsung TV with a Pioneer amp switches the speaker setup to TV instead of the STB. I’ve tried every variation of ARC, HDMI and various combos that I can think of. I need to manually reset to the STB then I can switch between TV, Netflix etc.

I have an Optical cable that I can use but what does that cost me? Are there any workarounds that make sense here? I have a very simple 2 channel setup.

Did you try turning CEC off in the TV menu?
You will lose nothing if you use the optical cable instead of HDMI-ARC.

But if you use the Optical cable, then the Amp won’t move between an App (Netflix) and TV (you’ll need to select what you need on the Amp for each, right?).
