Playing PS3 through iPod earphones

I play PS3 and I want to have the sound run through my iPod earphones. Will a RCA to 3.5mm adapter work?

if you do not have a headphone jack on the tv... then yes, you could use an rca to 3.5mm adapter.

if you wanted the microphone to work however on the apple earbuds with microphones that is, its a bit more complicated and would need a splitter which then goes to what the guy in this video describes.. https/www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxnXZlhQpKg
