Hello all.
I am a gamer, i have top PC at home. But i need a laptop for work during any travels i may occur. But i need my laptop to be able to overpower the latest games at least on some medium graphics. To be able to play occasionally in my travels. But not something OMG-ILON-MASK-CANNOT-EVEN-AFFORD =) I was thinking about Asus, Acer and HP. And under $1000 please.
Thanks in advance.

A few thing I don't understand - please set me straight:

1. You want a laptop that's "able to overpower the latest games" but at "medium settings". What does that mean?
2. You call yourself a gamer, yet you seem to believe that you can get a suitable laptop for under $1,000. Exactly what kind of games do you play?

Pending your response, let me submit a few mainstream machines designed for very medium-level gaming:

From HP's web site, there's this 15.6" Omen, starting at $870:
https://store.hp.com/us/en/ConfigureView?catalogId=10051&langId=-1&storeId=10151&urlLangId=&catEntryId=1553155&quantity=1

Add $60 and get the 128GB SSD/1TB HDD combo. 2GBs of VRAM and a 4-cell 63Whr battery (not amazing but should yield a useful 4 to 5 hours of battery life).

From Amazon US, this Acer Nitro is worth a look:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074Q54GSR/?tag=lapninj-20

At $700 featuring the larger 4GB 1050 card and "up to 8 hours" of battery life this Nitro is a bit of a bargain.

And rounding off with this Dell, also found on Amazon US:
https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Inspiron-Gaming-15-6-Inch-Screen/dp/B071JPYP1Z/ref=pd_sbs_147_5?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B071JPYP1Z&pd_rd_r=ZCBGW4C6CR5WHG6GE3BG&pd_rd_w=medwJ&pd_rd_wg=L6I9W&psc=1&refRID=ZCBGW4C6CR5WHG6GE3BG

Broadly similar to the Nitro but marginally more expensive at $714. Good battery life from the 74Whr pack but rather heavy.

Cheers,
GreyCatz.
