Hello all,

I am in the market for a new gaming laptop. I want it to be a desktop replacement (no, a small form factor pc is not an option) in terms of capability, larger and more durable in terms of design. I would prefer a gtx 1080 with a 120 hz screen and QHD, but can settle for a 1070 with FHD or QHD with 60-120hz. Either way, G-Sync is a must. 16-32GB DDR4 RAM. SSD+HDD, 1TB+ in total storage. It will be used primarily for gaming, along with academic pursuits. Budget is 1500-2500USD, certainly no more than 3000USD. Will be playing games at ultra/high settings on AAA FPS titles looking to get 60+ FPS. All suggestions are appreciated.

Hi everyone,

So I’m in the market for a new gaming laptop, want to purchase it by the end of the month. Before everyone jumps on the “buy a small PC instead” bandwagon, I’ll just say upfront that isn’t an option for me. I’m in the military, and not only am I not allowed to possess a full desktop PC rn, it would also be extremely inconvenient for my needs as I am highly mobile. Anyhow. I was thinking of picking up a Sager but am looking for all suggestions. I want AAA FPS titles at 60 FPS min, preferably closer to 100 FPS. So that would mean I’d like one with a 120 MHz screen, but will settle for a 60 MHz one. G-Sync is a must. I was thinking of a GTX 1080 as my gpu, but am thinking that if it would be bottlenecked by the CPU, I might as well get a 1070. Anyhow. Would prefer for QHD display, but will take FHD instead if needed. Not really worried about size or weight. 16-32GB DDR4 RAM. SSD + HDD (at least 1TB total storage). Will be used for school and gaming. Would like something built more on the heavy and durable side than light but flimsy. All suggestions would be appreciated. Would like a budget of 1500-2500, but can change as needed. Thank you.
