So some context;
I have a Gateway Laptop (NE56R31u). A few years ago it had fallen off of my bed and the top left corner of the keyboard part got damaged. The two bottom pieces separated and the power button frequently has issues powering on the laptop. I didn’t know what to do about it, it still worked perfectly fine when it decided to turn on so I didn’t worry about it and just left it as it was.
And now today I was looking it over and figured out that when it had fallen off my bed, the screw holding the two pieces together must have broken off.
So all I did was take a screw from the center and moved it to the missing screw’s spot.
But now the laptop won’t power on...
I tried to boot it into bios mode but I can’t without it being on? Somewhere said I could hold f1 or f2 to get it to turn on into bios but it hasn’t done anything...
I’ve tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, the ac adapter plugged in, and nothing...The battery is charged but the laptop refuses to turn on.

So if anyone knows how I can manage to turn my laptop on it would be helpful 😭
