Daughter dropped her laptop on its side where the power cord connector enters the Laptop. Battery ran down and would not charge. The laptop is now dead. Power cord reads only 13.1 vdc when it should be 19.5vdc. Could this reduction in voltage be the reason why it wont start the computer or charge the battery. When all is plugged in, and I press the power button on the computer to start it, I see three flashes of the white power led at the power connector on the laptop. HP 15-P030NR

Upon further inspection, I had thought that the batteries were 12 volt. In fact they are 14 volt. So a power cord that only puts out 13.1 volts will never fully charge the batteries. I am getting a new power cord in the hope that it will solve the problem. If it doesnt then the computer has other issues. I just thought that there would be a bigger voltage range that it would at least start up with. I guess it is pretty critical for it to be at least 14 volts. Here's hoping. Cheers
