powered sub from computer speakers to stereo hard wire!!

hey everyone im nlooking for some help with hooking up a powered subwoofer from altec lansing vs2121 computer speaker to my jvc reciever my problem is that the sound wire from the subwoofer haslike eight different wires inside the the sound cable and all i want is two i guess fore the speaker...can anyone help?? thanks Randy.the jvc reciever is rx-6030v

It sounds like that system takes a stereo signal through a lime green cable on the right satellite. You will need to connect that to the subwoofer output of your receiver. To do that you will need to use a cable with an single RCA plug at the the receiver end and a female stereo 3.5mm jack at the other end. You may need to get one made or make one by splicing cables if you don't solder. The sub out doesn't have to feed both the left and right input but it can.
You won't get any sound out of the satellites since you are only sending bass into the system.
