Hello guys! I am planning to build a subwoofer for my room.
I have PIONEER TS-W3003D4 subwoofer.
SPECS:
600w nominal
2000w max
4 Ω

Also i have PIONEER GM-D8601 APM.
SPECS:
600w nominal
1600w max
4Ohm
24A

I am looking for a PSU that can run my AMP. I am looking at CHIEFTEC ATX 2.3 A-135 1000W APS-1000CB PSU

Question is, can that PSU run my AMP.
I live i Europe so i have a 220V power supply.

Sorry for my bad english

I have a silverstone 800w or 850w cant remember PSU driving a Focal solid 1 (1x500w RMS @ 2 Ohms) powering 2 JL Audio CP108LG-W3v3 soon to be 4, a Focal Solid 2 (100w RMS x 2 at 2 ohms) powering a set of Focal Access 165 A3 6.5-Inch 3-Way, and an Alpine headunit.

That setup runs for about 6 hours a day and has been running for just over 2 years on my toolbox at work. I try to keep the PSU's wattage above the total RMS of the amp/amps.

The OP is trying to power a car audio amplifier not a PC.

An EVGA 550 G2 PSU will put out 45.8A on the 12v rail which is all most twice the amount needed for his AMP.

He needs 24Amps not 200, my system totals out to 85Amps but yet runs off a 850w 70.8A psu.

By your logic 2500w 200amp to power a 24a AMP i would need a 8855w 737a PSU to power my total of 85amp system.

Amps x Volts = watts 24a * 12v = 288w The CHIEFTEC ATX 2.3 A-135 1000W APS-1000CB PSU will be more then enough to power that amp and then some.

The Chieftec you have is a big +12V PSU with DC to DC for the non-essential +3.3V and +5V rails. Should be fine.

As long as you're not considering a PSU w/o DC to DC, you have a +12V PSU that isn't going to latch off when only the +12V is loaded because the supervisor IC senses a crossload.
