Problems with Boost/Sprint

I've been with Boost for the last 6 years after trying at&t, us cellular, straight talk/verizon, and virgin mobile. I'm in a rural area and due to my specific location I'm in a dead zone when it comes to at&t and straight talk/verizon, when it comes to internet. After 6 years of great service with boost/Sprint, suddenly the last 3 months I'm having problems with signal strength and speedier internet as well as calling.I don't understand why! I'm not sure what to do and am on a tight budget as I am disabled and on a fixed income. I've been advised to go with an unlocked phone so I can try different carriers but unlocked phones are more expensive. Help please!
 
If you had good coverage before, and now you have issues, did you contact your carrier for support? Do you have neighbors you can talk to? Check with them what they use.
