Problems with RX-V467

Recently my RX-V467 has developed a very annoying buzzing sound coming from the receiver. It doesn't start right away when we turn the unit on; usually it kicks in slowly over the next 5 minutes or so until the buzzing is so loud its been giving my fiancee a headache.



Any ideas on how to fix it?

first of all, unplug the input from the receiver and verify that it is the receiver, and not the external sound source (TV or CD) that is producing the noise.
if you verify that it is only the receiver,
Mainly, a power supply capacitor that breaks down after it's been on for 5 minutes, or a transistor that is defective and slowly overheating.
anyway, you need to take it to the service techs service center. you can't fix that yourself.

Yeah, I recently put a fan near the reciever just to see, and as long as the fan is on it makes very little to no sound.

I don't know of anyone around here who works on stereo recievers, so I may just find a way to jury rig some CPU fans onto the case to keep it cool.
