Hello,
I have a Panasonic plasma TV (TH-42pe7u) and I'm trying to hook it up as a monitor for my old computer (HP a6200n). It is using the on board video card, NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE, which only has a VGA output.
I purchased a VGA to HDMI converter and tried hooking it up and at first I got no sort of indication that the tv was recognizing the signal. I tried changing the screen display to 800x600 and I saw the boot up boot up screen (blue screen with HP Logo) but never saw the windows login screen. I changed the resolution again, with similar results (saw loading windows bar, but no login).
I assume that it needs a particular resolution and I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
