Razer tiamat 7.1 wont work

I have razer tiamat 7.1 and i cant hear sound from em,i have windows xp and im using P5Q-PRO motherboard http/www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5Q_PRO/#overview
Please help me!

In the Windows XP sound and audio device settings in Control Panel, do you have the headset configured to be the default audio out device?

I suggest that you watch this video and make sure that everything is connected correctly then. Also, make sure the center button on the headset's control unit is not lit up, as this appears to activate a pass-through for desktop speakers and disables the headset audio.

i Did all what that video told me to do but it should work when i put only my pink and green cabble into my pc and usb cabble into my pc,but it wont work so should i buy this? http/www.vantecusa.com/system/application/images/product/web_main.jpg Vantec NBA-200U 7.1 Channel USB Sound Card so maybe then it could work?

I would think it would work with the 2 channel card if you have the green, pink and USB connectors plugged in correctly. Let me look into a few things and get back to you in a bit.

Is the 7.1 mode light on the controller turned on? If so, the 2 channel mode won't work, so make sure that light is off (bottom right button on the controller) and then turn up the volume and see what happens.

Edit: You'll also need to select Main Volume on the controller before turning it up.

At the left mute button is green like it used to be and middle light is black and right light is red and it reads 7.1

Ok, that should be correct. Is the volume knob set to Main Volume?

Ok, I'm at a loss then. From what I've found online, the headset should work fine in stereo mode as long as the controller isn't set to 7.1 mode. It should work fine in XP, and doesn't require any drivers either. I'm at a loss as to what could be causing this issue. The only thing I can think of to do is to double-check that everything is firmly plugged in and that they're in the correct place, and to try pressing the 7.1 button and see if it turns any colors other than green and red (if so, see what happens when it's the other colors, and if not then leave it on red).
