Every-time i plug in my headphones, Realtek pops up and ask me what device i am using. When select Headphones. It starts to load then crashes. It takes restarting PC to get them working. Sometimes several restarts.

I wouldn't mind leaving headphones cables plugged in all the time if there was a more convenient way of switching from speaker to headphones. I have tried gong to system sound settings and switching default but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Im using MSI z97A Gaming & motherboard with onboard audio,
a set of cheap Logitech speakers -which i have no problems plugging in and unplugging.
and Voda Crossfades Wireless with boompro mic.

Any solutions on how to fix this?
Im considering buying a new sound card but this seems like a software issue.

Solution
Turn off the antivirus / firewall.
Plug in the new device...select headphones.
Then allow the system to configure, if it works:
THEN turn the antivirus / firewall back ON.
The antivirus thinks your headphones are an UN-authorized connection.

If this does NOT work:
The software / driver may be the wrong version for your computer. Delete the current software, and obtain the NEW updated driver from the computer manufacturer.
Then, try it again...should work OK.
