How do I record from my T.V. using my DVD recorder? My camcorder IS plugged into the T.V. using an HDMI cable. I have the red/white/yellow cables, and I can hear sound but no picture come through.
Please help!

Ahh. I thought that you wanted to record live TV; now I understand. Of course, my next question is what make and model of DVD recorder you have, I should have asked that at first.

Is the DVD recorder in your PC or a standalone unit to record from a video source? Since that camera records to a memory card, the easiest way to burn a DVD is to take out the memory card, attach it to your PC, and copy the files to a DVD. You will get higher quality that way than having the camera convert it to an analog picture signal and then the DVD recorder convert it back to a digital signal. So if you have a DVD recorder in your PC, I would recommend that route.

That would depend entirely on the make and model of camcorder. I've never heard of one that supported video IN instead of video OUT, but if you can give us the model info we could look it up.

I have a JVC GZ-E200BU camcorder. I have connected the HDMI cord OUT from the camcorder and IN to my T.V. I can view my videos on the T.V. this way. I am not however able to record these movies with my DVD recorder. I am just not sure how to connect my DVD recorder to my T.V. to allow me to record these movies.

Solution
Your TV does not have any outputs so you can't record from it. You can connect your camcorder directly to the DVD recorder and that should work. If the DVD recorder is in your PC then you will need a video capture input and software to do the transfer and make a DVD.
