Recover mobile's internal memory data

I have a Sony Xperia E3.I deleted some files on it's internal storage(not on external memory card).It was a JPG file which got downloaded from a social networking app.
I did that around 10 august 2016.Can anyone help me how to restore those files.What softwares will I need .Will I need to root my phone.Those files are extremely important.Please Help.

the files were internal memory,your solution shows how to recover files from sd card.
when i connect my phone to laptop it shows like this.

as recuva can access only memory card and not the internal memory so recuva is not showing any option of
selecting the phone memory.
can you suggest any other solution
