For those of you currently on Verizon Wireless? What's your opinion
about the best phones that Verizon currently offers?

A friend of mine, after I went through 3 Samsung SCH-400's, all of which
failed in the bush in analog mode, said a friend of his in the business said
that Audiovox phones never come back.

So I got an Audiovox 9100 and I love it. Of course, both my cabin west of
Fairplay, CO and hunting camp north of Craig, CO now have digital service.

I love my Nokia 3589i - great reception, great battery life, intuitive
user interface, use it to hook my laptop to the internet once in a
while, but no bells or whistles, just a basic phone with a color
screen.

Do you or anyone else have another Verizon phone and a 3589i? I believe the
3589i displays the time rounded rather than truncated leading to an
unreliable time display. If I'm right the minute should change 30 seconds
early on this phone compared to virtually all others.

I have no idea. But because my previous phone had a manual time set
that was never synced by the carrier anyway, the 3589i will still be
more accurate than that. Within 30 seconds is good enough for me.

Keep in mind then, if the phone is off that your nights start at 9:02pm.
What phone did you have that could not be updated by the carrier?

my audiovox 8900 only lost two calls. but i wanted a better speakerphone.
now i have had the 400 and just got the lg 4500 and it is a nice phone but,
it loses calls around the house just like the 4400 did... a perfect phone
would be like 3 manufacturers in one.

If you can still get them I am a huge fan of the LG 4400's. Radio Shack and
other resellers may still have them.

Compared to the 4500, 4600 or 6000 the 4400 is nice because it has analog
capability. I still have some users that run in to analog while traveling
in places like Maine.

I have 10 lines of service using them and not a one has had any problems.
They are not very flashy, but they work incredably well!

The Samsung X427 GSM on Cingular won't time sync with the towers.
Time must be manually set.
