removing fbi virus from RCA 10" android tablet

Is there anything or method out there that will remove this virus short of factory or hard reset. If his is he only last resort how does one copy pictures from internal storage to SD card?

There is a guide here https://malwaretips.com/blogs/android-police-virus-removal/ you need to boot the tablet in safe mode and uninstall it from there. Make sure you don't select anything that looks like a factory reset.
